Frequently Asked Questions
What text case conversions are supported?
The case converter supports UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, and alternating case. You can paste any text and convert between all formats instantly. It also handles special characters and Unicode correctly.
How accurate is the grammar checker?
Our grammar checker catches common spelling errors, grammar mistakes (subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, article usage), and punctuation issues. It works best for English text and provides click-to-fix suggestions for each error. For professional editing, it is a great first pass β though for mission-critical content, a human editor is still recommended.
Can I use the text diff tool to compare code?
Yes. The text diff tool works with any plain text, including source code. It highlights additions in green and deletions in red at the word level, making it easy to spot changes between two versions of a file. For dedicated code diffing with syntax highlighting, a developer-focused diff tool may be preferable, but for quick comparisons our tool works great.
Does the text to speech tool work offline?
The text to speech tool uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API, which means it uses voices installed on your operating system. On most devices, the basic voices work offline after the initial page load. However, some enhanced voices (especially on Chrome) require an internet connection to stream. The tool will always show you which voices are available on your device.
What readability scores does the readability checker calculate?
The readability checker computes Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, Flesch Reading Ease, Gunning Fog Index, SMOG Index, Coleman-Liau Index, and Automated Readability Index. It also shows the estimated US grade level needed to understand your text and provides actionable tips for improving readability, such as shortening sentences or replacing complex words.
