Solitaire

Klondike Solitaire is the world's most popular single-player card game, known simply as “Solitaire” to most people. The game uses a standard 52-card deck dealt into 7 tableau columns, with the remaining cards forming the stock pile. Your goal is to move all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles, sorted by suit from Ace to King.

This free online version includes drag-and-drop controls, unlimited undo, hints, auto-complete, and daily challenges — everything you need for a polished Solitaire experience without downloads or signups.

Tableau rules. Build columns in descending order with alternating colors — place a red 6 on a black 7, a black Queen on a red King, and so on. You can move entire sequences of properly ordered face-up cards between columns. Only Kings can be placed on empty columns.

Foundation rules. Build each foundation pile upward by suit, starting with the Ace and ending with the King. Once all four foundations are complete, you win.

Stock and waste. Click the stock pile to flip cards to the waste pile. In Draw 1 mode you flip one card at a time; in Draw 3 you flip three. When the stock is empty, click to recycle the waste pile back into the stock.

Prioritize revealing face-down cards. Always prefer moves that flip a hidden card. The more information you have, the better your decisions will be.

Don't rush cards to the foundation. Sometimes keeping a card in the tableau gives you more flexibility for building sequences. Only move cards up when it won't block future moves.

Empty columns are powerful. An empty tableau column can only hold a King, but it gives you a temporary workspace for rearranging sequences. Plan which King to place there strategically.

Use undo and hints. There's no shame in undoing a move to try a different path. The hint button highlights one valid move when you're stuck.
