Jigsaw Puzzle

This is a fully-featured jigsaw puzzle game that runs entirely in your browser. Upload any photo from your device — a vacation snapshot, family portrait, or pet picture — and turn it into a real jigsaw puzzle with authentic interlocking piece shapes generated using bezier curves. No app downloads, no sign-ups, and your images never leave your device.

Choose from four difficulty levels: Easy (25 pieces), Medium (49 pieces), Hard (100 pieces), and Expert (225 pieces). If you do not have an image handy, browse 48 procedurally generated built-in images spanning landscapes, gradients, geometric patterns, abstract art, space scenes, nature, mosaics, and more. Each image creates a unique and colorful puzzle experience.

The game features a daily puzzle that uses the current date as a seed, so every player worldwide gets the same image and difficulty on the same day. Challenge your friends to beat your time and move count. A timer, move counter, progress bar, and three-star rating system track your performance on every puzzle you complete.

Start with the edges: Border pieces have at least one flat edge, making them easy to identify. Use the "Highlight Edges" hint to flash all edge pieces for three seconds. Assembling the frame first gives you a clear boundary to work within.

Sort by color: Drag pieces with similar colors to the same area of the play space. Grouping sky pieces, grass pieces, or pattern sections reduces the search space dramatically — especially on Hard and Expert difficulties.

Use the preview strategically: The "Show Preview" hint overlays the complete image at 30% opacity for three seconds. Save it for when you are genuinely stuck rather than using it early. Each hint usage reduces your star rating, so completing a puzzle hint-free earns the maximum three stars.

Choose the right image: Photos with distinct color regions — sunsets, cityscapes, food — produce puzzles where each piece is visually unique. Avoid images that are mostly one color (like a clear blue sky) unless you enjoy a challenge. The built-in images are designed with high color variation for satisfying gameplay.

Authentic jigsaw shapes: Every piece is cut using bezier curve clipping paths with protruding tabs and matching indented blanks, just like a real physical puzzle. Adjacent pieces always fit together correctly.

Three hint types: Show Preview displays the full image temporarily. Highlight Edges flashes all border pieces. Find Next points you toward a specific unplaced piece and its target location (limited to 5 per puzzle).

Sound effects: Subtle audio feedback using the Web Audio API provides a pickup sound when grabbing a piece, a satisfying snap when placing it correctly, and a completion chime when the puzzle is finished. Toggle sounds on or off at any time.
