What Is the Drawing Guess Game?
The Drawing Guess Game is a free online game where you draw a given word and an AI tries to guess what you are drawing in real time. Inspired by games like Pictionary and Google's Quick Draw, it challenges you to sketch recognizable drawings under time pressure while an AI classifier watches your every stroke and updates its guesses live.
The game features 35 drawable words across 3 difficulty levels, from simple objects like cats and houses to challenging concepts like rollercoasters and tornadoes. Each game consists of 6 rounds with a scoring system that rewards speed and clarity. The faster the AI recognizes your drawing, the more points you earn.
No signup, no downloads, and no ads. The entire game runs directly in your browser with all AI analysis happening client-side. Your drawings are never uploaded or stored anywhere.
How to Use the Drawing Guess Game
Select your difficulty level on the start screen. Easy mode gives you 40 seconds with simple words, Medium gives 30 seconds with moderate words, and Hard gives just 20 seconds with complex words. Each difficulty draws from its own word pool, so you will encounter different challenges at each level.
When a round begins, you will see the word to draw displayed prominently above the canvas. Start sketching immediately using your mouse, trackpad, or finger on touch devices. The drawing tools include 8 colors, 3 pen sizes, an eraser, undo, and clear. The AI begins analyzing your drawing after each stroke.
Watch the AI Guesses panel update in real time with the top 3 guesses and their confidence percentages. The round ends when the AI's top guess matches your word with over 50% confidence, or when time runs out. After 6 rounds, you will see your total score with a per-round breakdown that you can copy and share.
Key Features
The AI classifier uses real-time canvas feature extraction to analyze your drawings. It examines stroke patterns, ink density distribution across quadrants, shape symmetry, bounding box aspect ratios, and spatial relationships to match your drawing against known visual profiles. The result is a responsive and fun guessing experience that feels genuinely intelligent.
The scoring system creates exciting time pressure. Starting at 1,000 points and losing 20 per second, you are incentivized to draw quickly and clearly. The speed bonus for sub-5-second guesses rewards those who can convey the essence of a word in just a few strokes. Streaks track consecutive correct guesses across rounds.
Visual feedback makes every moment satisfying. Confetti bursts celebrate correct guesses, the timer pulses red in the final 5 seconds, and animated confidence bars show the AI narrowing down its guesses in real time. The drawing tools use smooth quadratic curve rendering for natural-feeling lines on both desktop and mobile.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the AI guess what I'm drawing?
The AI analyzes your drawing in real time by extracting visual features such as stroke density, shape symmetry, aspect ratio, and spatial distribution of ink across the canvas. It compares these features against pre-computed profiles for each word in the game and ranks them by similarity. As you draw more, the features become more distinctive, helping the AI narrow down its guess. The AI updates its top 3 guesses after each stroke you complete.
How is the score calculated?
You start with a base of 1,000 points per round, and 20 points are deducted for every second that passes. The minimum score per round is 100 points. If the AI guesses correctly in under 5 seconds, you earn a 200-point speed bonus. This scoring system rewards quick, recognizable drawings over slow, detailed ones. Your total score across all 6 rounds determines your final result.
What's the difference between difficulty levels?
Easy mode gives you 40 seconds per round with simple, everyday objects like cat, house, tree, and star. Medium mode gives you 30 seconds with moderately complex words like bicycle, guitar, and octopus. Hard mode gives you only 20 seconds with challenging words like rollercoaster, skydiving, and tornado. The word pools are separate, so each difficulty offers a unique set of drawing challenges.
Does the AI always guess correctly?
No. The AI uses feature-based image analysis rather than a neural network, so its accuracy depends on how closely your drawing matches the expected visual profile for that word. Clear, distinctive drawings with exaggerated features are more likely to be recognized. The AI needs your top guess to match the prompt with over 50% confidence to count as correct. Some words are inherently harder for the AI to distinguish.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The drawing canvas is fully touch-optimized with a responsive layout that adapts to smaller screens. On mobile, the canvas adjusts to fit your screen width, the toolbar is compact below the canvas, and the AI guess panel appears above for easy viewing. Touch drawing is smooth with no lag, and all gestures work naturally with your finger or a stylus.
