The Three Common Setups (Pick One)

Setup A: Use your home zone, accept all slots in your real working hours

You set your time zone to where you live. You set availability for your real local working hours (say 10 AM to 4 PM). Bookers from other zones see your slots converted to their local time. They book whatever fits.

Best for: Most solo consultants. Simple, predictable, sustainable. You work your local hours and trust that bookers in other zones will find a workable overlap.

Setup B: Use your home zone, but add early or late slots to capture other regions

You set your time zone to your home location but extend availability into early morning or late evening hours specifically to capture bookers in distant zones. For example: a New York based consultant adds 7 AM Eastern slots (which is 4 AM Pacific, useless, but 12 PM London, perfect) to capture European bookers.

Best for: Anyone with a meaningful percentage of bookers in a distant region. Trade-off: you'll occasionally work outside your normal hours, but you capture the bookings that would otherwise go unscheduled.

Setup C: Use a different time zone than where you live
