Word Processing and Frequency Analysis

The generator tokenizes your text into individual words, converts everything to lowercase, removes punctuation, and counts how many times each word appears. A built-in filter of 175+ English stop words (the, and, is, are, was, etc.) removes noise so your cloud highlights meaningful content words. Toggle the stop words filter off if you want every word included. The processed words are sorted by frequency and limited to your chosen maximum (25-200 words).

Spiral Placement Algorithm

Words are placed using an Archimedean spiral algorithm starting from the center of the canvas. The most frequent word is placed at the center with the largest font size. Each subsequent word is sized proportionally to its frequency, then the algorithm searches outward along the spiral for the first position where the word fits without overlapping any previously placed word. Collision detection uses the Separating Axis Theorem (SAT) for accurate bounding box checks, even with rotated words.

Choose from 10 color palettes: Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Neon, Monochrome, Pastel, Fire, Galaxy, Earth, or create a Custom palette with 3-8 colors of your choice. Select from 8 font families including Inter, Playfair Display, Montserrat, Georgia, Courier New, Impact, and more. Constrain words to 5 shape masks: Rectangle (default), Circle, Heart, Star, or Diamond. Set word orientation to Horizontal only, Mixed (horizontal and 90 degrees), Random angles, or All vertical.
