What Is This Task Manager?
This is a free online task manager that helps you organize everything you need to do. Add tasks in seconds, set priorities and due dates, group by category, and track your completion streaks -- all without creating an account or installing anything. Your tasks live in your browser and never leave your device.
Unlike heavyweight project management tools, this task manager focuses on personal productivity. It loads instantly, works offline, and gives you exactly the features you need to stay on top of daily tasks, weekly goals, and recurring responsibilities. Four views help you focus: All Tasks for the full picture, My Day for daily priorities, Upcoming for the week ahead, and Completed for a satisfying look back.
How to Manage Tasks Effectively
Start by capturing tasks quickly using the add bar at the top. Press N on your keyboard to focus the input, type the task, and press Enter. Speed matters when capturing ideas -- you can always add details later by clicking the task to open the edit panel.
Use categories to separate areas of your life. Create a category for Work, Personal, Errands, or any project. Each category gets a color dot, and you can filter your list by clicking a category in the sidebar. This keeps your task list focused when you need to concentrate on one area at a time.
The priority system helps you decide what to tackle first. High priority tasks get a red dot, Medium gets yellow, and Low gets blue. Sort by priority to push urgent items to the top. Combined with due dates, this creates a clear hierarchy of what needs attention right now versus what can wait.
Productivity Tips
Use the My Day view each morning to decide what you will focus on. Star three to five tasks that must get done today. This prevents the overwhelm of looking at a long task list and gives you a clear daily plan. As you complete items, the statistics panel tracks your progress.
Set up recurring tasks for habits and routines. Daily recurring tasks are perfect for habits like exercise or journaling. Weekly tasks work for things like grocery shopping or weekly reviews. When you check off a recurring task, the next occurrence is created automatically so you never have to remember to re-add it.
The streak counter in the statistics panel shows how many consecutive days you have completed at least one task. Building a streak creates positive momentum and motivates consistent productivity. Open the stats panel to see your daily, weekly, and monthly completion counts alongside your overall completion rate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this task manager free?
Yes, completely free with no limits. There is no signup, no trial period, and no premium tier. All features are available immediately. Your tasks are stored in your browser's localStorage so they persist across sessions, and nothing is sent to any server.
How do I set task priorities?
Click any task to open the edit panel, then choose from four priority levels: High (red dot), Medium (yellow dot), Low (blue dot), or None. Priority dots appear on the task row for quick visual scanning. You can also sort your entire list by priority to see urgent items first.
Can I create recurring tasks?
Yes. In the task edit panel, set the Recurring field to Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly. When you complete a recurring task, a new copy is automatically created with the next due date. This is ideal for habits, routine meetings, and regular chores.
What views are available?
Four views: All Tasks (active items), My Day (starred tasks plus tasks due today), Upcoming (next 7 days grouped by date), and Completed (finished tasks). Switch between them using the tab bar above the task list.
Can I export my tasks?
Yes. Click the Export button to choose CSV (opens in any spreadsheet), JSON (full backup with categories), or Print (clean checklist format). CSV and JSON download as files. Print opens a new window with a printer-friendly layout.
Does this work offline?
Yes. Once the page loads, everything runs in your browser with no server connection needed. Tasks are saved to localStorage, which works offline. You can add, edit, complete, and delete tasks without an internet connection.
