What Is a Bracket Maker?
A bracket maker is an online tool that creates professional single-elimination tournament brackets. Whether you are organizing a March Madness pool, a gaming tournament, a classroom competition, or a backyard sports event, this bracket maker generates a complete visual bracket in seconds. Just enter participant names, one per line, and the tool handles the rest.
The bracket supports 4 to 64 participants with automatic bye insertion when the count is not a perfect power of 2. Click any name to advance the winner, toggle score entry to record match results, and export the finished bracket as a high-resolution PNG or printable PDF. A shareable link lets you send your bracket to friends or colleagues.
How to Make a Tournament Bracket
Enter your team or player names in the text area, one per line. The bracket maker detects the count automatically and shows how many participants are entered plus any byes needed. Choose a Quick Template for common formats, or enter your own custom list.
After generating the bracket, click participant names to advance winners through each round. The bracket updates in real time, showing winners in green and losers with strikethrough text. Use the Randomize Seeding button before generating to shuffle matchups, or Auto-Fill Random to quickly populate the entire bracket with random results.
