Play Yahtzee Online for Free

Yahtzee is a dice game of strategy and luck where you roll five dice up to three times per turn, choosing which to keep between rolls. Fill all 13 categories on the scorecard to complete a game, aiming for the highest possible total.

This free online version gives you everything you need — solo play for chasing high scores, a smart AI opponent for head-to-head competition, and persistent stats that track your progress over time. The game runs entirely in your browser with no downloads, no accounts, and no ads.

How Yahtzee Scoring Works

Upper section. Score the sum of all dice showing a specific number (Ones through Sixes). If your upper total reaches 63 or more, you earn a 35-point bonus. Aim for at least three of each number to hit this threshold.

Lower section. Three and Four of a Kind score the sum of all dice. Full House is worth 25 flat points. Small Straight (4 in sequence) scores 30, Large Straight (5 in sequence) scores 40. Yahtzee (five of a kind) is the big prize at 50 points, with 100-point bonuses for each additional Yahtzee.

Strategy tip: Don't waste strong dice combinations on low-value categories early. If you roll four 6s, that's worth 24 in the Sixes category — putting you well above the 3-per-number average you need for the upper bonus.
